Hugs
There's a new trend in middle and high schools to ban hugs amongst students. Reasons given are clogged hallways and hugs that are too close and too long. I personally think school rules are becoming ludicrous.
The scary thing is, there are a lot of people who are fine with that; fine with arbitrary knee-jerk rules to keep order in the prisons...er, schools.
So, if public hugs were banned tomorrow amongst adults, they'd be fine with that?
This reminded me of a video on You Tube a while back.

Ahhhhh...public schools and thier crazy rules.... In the high school my daughters attended, they kept the bathroom doors locked leaving only one of each (male/female) bathroom unlocked to service over 3000+ kids. Thier reason? They couldn't afford the personnel needed to 'patrol' said bathrooms. Hmmmm....
My kids said they had to choose; eat lunch or stand in a looooong line.
Anyhoo...Nice to meet you! i've enjoyed your blog and the beautiful fall view!

When I was in theatre camp in 10th grade, one of the instructors tried to tell us to stop giving each other neckrubs. Apparently his significant other was a massage therapist and told him that amateurs rubbing each other's necks was doing more harm than good. Luckily, we sixteen-year-olds completely ignored him. How else are you going to get your hands on some cute guy you hardly know without getting yourself into some potential trouble?
